PROFESSIONALS
The STL Gateway Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers is dedicated to cultivating leadership and technical talent within the fields of engineering and technology. We achieve this through comprehensive training intitiatives/opportunities, professional development programs, mentoring opportunities, and robust career placement services. Our membership is inclusive, welcoming professionals pursuing careers in STEM, while also offering affiliate local membership to individuals in non-STEM professions. We are committed to fostering partnerships with local corporations, other professional organizations, and our STEM community throughout St. Louis and the surrounding areas with the aim of enhancing the pipline of skilled engineering and technical professionals.

Local NSBE Jr. Program
NSBE JR PROGRAM
Our NSBE Jr. Chapter is nationally and regionally recognized as a leading chapter within the international NSBE organization. Founded by three STL Professionals chapter members who saw the need to start with the youth to increase African American representation in STEM, our chapter serves 3rd–12th grade students throughout St. Louis. We have helped over 300+ members pursue engineering or STEM degrees, providing more than $1.6 million in scholarships and continued education funds. Our students are encouraged to embody our mission, confidently push innovation, and develop technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills, all while being introduced to industry professionals.
Company Partner Expectations Include (But are not limited to):
